King Solomon famously said, “As to the making of books, there is no end.” For the discerning reader that’s a wonderful statement. I’ve been an avid reader and collector of theological books for 16 years and still get swept away by the gentle madness whenever I find a rare gem or make a fresh discovery. When a friend suggested I start selling books I hummed and hawed; it hurts too much to see a book go! But the more I contacted friends and collectors I realized that there is really a strong community of likeminded gently deranged people out there with similar interests. So we prayerfully went forward and started J. Michael Theological Books.
J. Michael Theological Books specializes in antiquarian and hard-to-get religious texts needed by students and professionals alike. In the age of digitized books, some might be hesitant to invest in an original copy of a judicious old divine or celebrated scholar from a previous age when you can download a digital copy from almost anywhere. However, it’s the book itself that takes you on the journey, not just the bare text. The book is the place where people congregate to find shared experience and fresh ideas. We find this is the case when the church gathers for worship, for small groups, and for individual believers seeking to further their walk along the Way.
Terms and Conditions:
Returns: All books and products are accurately described and packed securely for shipping. Should the item(s) prove unsatisfactory or inaccurately described, item(s) may be returned within five business days of their arrival, and the original cost refunded. We only ask that you contact us to make arrangements prior to shipping unwanted items, especially in the case of overseas deliveries.
Payment: We currently accept orders through the website via paypal. All purchases made by check or money order will be held until payments are cleared.
Shipping: Books are well packed in new shipping materials and sent USPS media rate. Please specify prior to check out if you prefer an alternative carrier or priority mail. Each item is processed in the order it is received: for set works and multiple orders please allow additional time.
